Dr. Sebenick is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia and a Counseling Psychologist by training. Her professional background includes:

• Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and M.Ed. in Community Counseling, University of Maryland, College Park
• Work in the field of career development since 1984, including peer and professional career counseling, curriculum development, and seminar design and delivery
• Work in psychotherapy and mental-health counseling since 1993
• Employment as a counselor, student advisor, psychologist, and adjunct faculty member in college/university settings
• Prior employment in a federal government employee assistance unit
• Experience with diverse clientele, ranging in age from teens to seniors and including men and women of varied ethnic origins, economic situations, educational backgrounds, sexual orientations, and levels of distress and resourcefulness
• Member of the American Psychological Association, the Virginia Psychological Association, the Virginia Academy of Clinical Psychologists, the Northern Virginia Society of Clinical Psychologists, and the Metropolitan Area Career/Life Planning Network
• Participation in the Northern Virginia Society of Clinical Psychologists Referral Service and Speakers Bureau
